Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 9, 2026
This policy explains what ReduceSize collects when you visit reducesize.org and use the free size tools. We keep this page plain on purpose—if a practice changes, the date above changes with it.
Size tools
PDF, image, photo, and GIF tools process files in your browser session for the purpose of reducing size. We do not ask you to create an account to use those tools, and we do not store your file contents for compression on our servers. Downloads you save remain under your control on your device.
Please avoid uploading or emailing files that contain secrets you would not want in an inbox (passwords, full ID numbers, medical records). If you contact us about a bug, describe the problem without attaching sensitive originals.
Website data
Like most sites, our hosting provider may collect basic technical logs needed to run and protect the service—for example approximate request details such as IP address, browser type, date/time, and the pages requested. We use that only for reliability, security, and abuse prevention—not to build marketing profiles from your personal files.
Analytics
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people move through the site (for example which pages are visited, clicks, and anonymized session replays). Clarity may set cookies or similar identifiers and process technical data such as device and browser type. File contents you reduce in the tools are not sent to Clarity as part of compression. See Microsoft’s documentation for Clarity for more detail on their processing.
Cookies and similar tech
We may use essential cookies or local storage required for the site to work (for example remembering a simple UI preference). Clarity may use cookies or local storage for analytics as described above. We do not sell personal information.
Contact messages
If you email hello@reducesize.org, we use your address and message content only to understand and respond. We keep correspondence as long as needed to resolve your request, then delete or archive it under normal email hygiene—not as a marketing list.
Children
ReduceSize is a general utility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it when we can identify the message.
Third parties
Hosting and email delivery involve providers who process data only to deliver their service to us. We do not sell your contact messages or tool files to data brokers.
Your choices
You can stop using the site at any time. For email you sent us, ask us to delete the thread when it is no longer needed. Because size tools work in your session, clearing your browser data removes local copies you haven’t downloaded elsewhere.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product grows. The date at the top will change when we do. The latest version will always be at https://reducesize.org/privacy.
